SURFACES OPEN HOUSE
Friday, January 15th
4pm-9pm

We're celebrating our 15th year of offering the best in decorative arts education and products. Surfaces School of Decorative Arts is proud to be a Faux Effects International Gold Label Training and Retail Studio.  This year we are offering our most extensive class schedule ever with a variety of topics, times, and prices.  Come preview our new samples and be inspired to take a class, complete your own project or locate a professional to make your design dreams come true.

We are continuing our commitment to the Professional Finisher with 2 New Wall Collection Classes:

Fresh French Country Walls:Warm Neutral Colors in low build finishes with limited layers.  The trend of flat painted pale walls is already loosing popularity. Why be boring when you can add a little zing.  The perfect portfolio for your clients who love American Rustic Modern interiors.

Basically Beautiful Walls: Every month I receive requests to match wallpaper. These 7 samples are some of my favorites.  And the best part? I've kept the steps simple and the products to a minimum.  Now you can offer beauty at an affordable price. The palette includes popular shades of grey, cream, and soft metallic.

In addition to our classic cabinetry classes such as Cabinet Foundations, Furniture Traditions and the Re-Stain, we have 3 new offerings.

Fresh French Country.  Painted Furniture and Cabinets are growing in popularity.  This is the class when you are ready to take your finishes from plain one color to amazing high-end looks. Our finishes are based on commission projects so we know how to roll. brush, or spray in the real world. Professional classes are on real wood doors with raised panel.

Basically Beautiful Cabinets. I researched the most pinned cabinet paint colors on Pinterest and mixed the colors in Setcoat, our water-based cabinet paint product. You will have 12 pre-painted large molding pieces to glaze and topcoat in your preferred colors and sheens. Class includes recipes for the easy to mix colors. Perfect for the client who wants a simple but durable quality wood makeover.

Basically Beautiful Metallic Cabinetry. I mixed easy to roll, brush or spray metallic Setcoat mixes in shades from Cream to Charcoal. We will work on 5 raised panel doors.

Are you a seasoned professional who needs some popular color trend samples? Or maybe a beginner finisher who wants to build your portfolio quickly with focused finishes. Join us one Friday afternoon a month for our NEW Colorways Classes! Out of town? Schedule a private class in the am and stay for the afternoon class!
